LONDON, UK and POIPET, CAMBODIA – 4 MAY, 2016 – 3CX, developer of next-generation software-based Unified Communications solution, has enabled Holiday Palace Casino and Resort to scale up its phone system, and to gear up to total mobility with Unified Communications.
The Poipet, Cambodia-based Holiday Palace Casino and Resort is a luxury resort situated in the northwest part of the country, near the border with Thailand.
The IT staff had been using Skype Connect to manage connectivity, but calling costs were still too high.
Telecommunications manager Andy Wiranata wanted a less expensive and scalable solution, one which also offered mobility, push and contacts integration.
“A hosted virtual PBX from 3CX gives us the solution we need without the headaches of maintaining the underlying equipment ourselves. And being able to have a central phone system no matter where we are is endlessly convenient,” Wiranta said.
With the hosted version of the phone system, the resort was able to rapidly and seamlessly install 3CX on a virtual PBX server with the help of 3CX Partner cloudphonesystem.net. Settings and data are in the control of the company, and it keeps the option of eventually moving it entirely on-premises.
Wiranta noted the considerable savings enjoyed as international calls are directed to the network and PSTN paths with the lowest charges.
With 3CX, employees at the resort were also able to enjoy total mobility as calls were sent to the worker’s single portable extension number, reaching the worker anywhere. Mobile employees also profited from PUSH, saving battery life. And with the the full set of Unified Communications features that 3CX provides right out of the box, the resort’s productivity improved sharply.
And 3CX is limitlessly scalable at no extra cost. The resort could add as many extensions as required without having to pay extra licence fees.
“3CX has proven to be a great success,” Wiranta added.
